Spring 2025 Update. We have seen the Lululemon Diaper Bag released in Lavender Lux/Sheer Oak to go along with the original Black/Sheer Oak version. It will be interesting to see if they launch the diaper bag in a blue color such as Galactic Cobalt or Cerulean Blue.
Summer 2023 Update: The “Lululemon Diaper Bag” remains a popular bag that has gained a following mostly because it is no longer available on any of the Lululemon websites. To get this adult bag you will have to search on DePop, Poshmark, Mercari or eBay. There have been other bags that have come out in the last few months including the All Night Festival bag.
By early September it looks like this product is no longer available through the Lululemon US website. We believe that it is discontinued in the United States. It is available on the European website here. There is also a new New Crew Backpack 22L which is as close as you are going to get to the New Parent Backpack 17L Diaper Bag right now.
In early August when you click the link for the New Parent Backpack 17L Diaper Bag the Lululemon sit states “Oh snap! Looks like we’re all out.” This hot item along with the Everywhere Belt Bag have been sold out throughout the entire summer. Make sure to check back on Tuesdays around 6:15 pm est as this is when Lululemon restocks online. That is not to say there will be diaper bags available but that is when you will have the best opportunity to find it in stock.
It seems every week Lululemon drops a new item that sells out almost instantly. In late July 2022 that items is the New Parent Backpack 17L. This is the Lululemon diaper bag everyone is talking about. While not all buyers of this product are new mothers, it makes sense for Lululemon to start tapping into the market of loyal customers who have been wearing leggings since their teenage years and are now transitioning into being a parent.
Remember that Lululemon and lululemon.com restock at 6:15 pm est on Tuesday evenings. We have noticed that randomly throughout business hours during the early part of the work week Lululemon will sometimes up their website with the more popular items such as the Align high rise leggings and the Everywhere Belt Bag. It will be interesting to see if the New Parent Backpack or “diaper bag” continues to remain popular.
With the cost of this item at $198 it is not likely that it remains as popular as the Everywhere Belt Bag. When this product is restocked, we will be sure to update this page. The only colour we have seen for the New Parent Backpack is Black/Trench.
