As if Lululemon couldn’t get more popular, the 2021 Black Friday sale has many searching for the difference in Align and Wunder Under leggings. Both types of popular Lululemon yoga pants are marked down and those new to the brand are hoping to find out more. As stated on our Luxtreme vs Luon page, “Wunder Under leggings are made with Luxtreme, Luon, or Everlux fabrics. In contrast, Align leggings are made with Nulu fabric. Wunder Under and Align leggings have a different feel and you should understand what you are buying before you spend hundreds of dollars on Black Friday or any shopping spree. Read below to better understand the different types of fabrics and their feel.”
The one major complaint about the Wunder Under leggings is there is no drawstring so they fall down and don’t stay put. You will either love them or hate them. It would be advisable to try them on in a store before spending hundreds of dollars on several pair. Lululemon has an amazing return system so if you do order them online during a sale you can send them back in the bag they came in (returnable bag that seals) or you can bring them back to any Lululemon store and get your money back.

Aligns are made of Nulu material and meant to give a “naked” sensation. They are for very light activity like yoga or Pilates, running errands. The fabric pills easily so they aren’t meant for high intensity workouts but to each their own! I wear mine for upper body days, lounging, to and from, work, you name it! They have a v seam in the back to give the booty some shape and a crotch gusset that extends down the leg to help prevent camel toe.
Wunder unders are made of luxtreme, full on luxtreme, luon, and sometimes nulux. These, depending on the fabric, are usually for more intense workouts as nulux, luxtreme and full on luxtreme are an athletic material that is more resistant to pilling and are more sweat wicking that Nulu. You can also wear them for lounging or whatever you want but are way more compressive that aligns lol. They have a strait seam in the back and a more traditional crotch gusset.
Wunder trains are made of everlux which is a mix of the delicate and soft Nulu and the more resistant luxtreme. They give you a similar feel but with more durability. They have the same look as wunder unders with the strait seam across the back.
