Dover, Delaware residents have had to resort to online shopping for Lululemon leggings and apparel unless they want to take the hour drive north to Newark where they can go to the Christiana Mall store. For those that want to try on specific size leggings or shorts, it is not easy, nor convenient for those in Dover, Delaware.
With Delaware State, Dover Motor Speedway and the Dover Mall all being in the same area of North Dupont Highway, it would make sense for Lululemon to open a location here. There is a Chick-Fil-A, Panera and several hotels close by. A university is prime for Lululemon. While the crowds that frequent the motor speedway are likely not loyal Lululemon customers, it is traffic to the area.
Dover has two major yoga studios – Shakti Yoga Tribe and Tula Yoga. Obviously, two (2) yoga studios are not enough to make a Lululemon location profitable, but a 5000 student university sure is.
